Notes of Interest
● Las Vegas hosts its annual spring race this weekend as the NASCAR Cup Series embarks on the fifth points race of the 2026 campaign.
● Cole Custer is the only four-time pole winner (2018, 2019-spring, 2019-fall, & 2024) at Las Vegas in the O’Reilly Series. The California native started inside the top-5 in his final eight O’Reilly races and had an average starting position of 3.9.
● On Saturday, Custer is also set to make his O’Reilly Series debut this season, marking his first O’Reilly start since November 2024 at Phoenix.
● Mark Martin won the inaugural NASCAR Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 1, 1988.
● Each team gets nine sets of Goodyear Racing Eagle tires for the race (eight race sets plus one set transferred from qualifying).
