● The NTT INDYCAR SERIES heads west this weekend for the 2026 season finale at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, a 2.238-mile road course that features 11 turns and a significant elevation change of 180 feet. It is famous for its iconic “Corkscrew” turn, which drops 59 feet, making it one of racing’s most challenging turns.

● Felix Rosenqvist will make his seventh INDYCAR SERIES start at Laguna Seca on Sunday, a track where he’s led 11 laps and captured the pole while driving for Arrow McLaren in 2023, and started third for Meyer Shank Racing in 2024.

● Rosenqvist has two top-five finishes in six starts at Laguna Seca, including a best finish of fourth in 2022. He has collected 12 top-five finishes and seven podiums on road courses.

● The Mission Foods Grand Prix of Monterey will be the 29th INDYCAR SERIES race at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, but just the sixth since 2004.

● After a year of exciting music collaborations with team partner SiriusXM, Laguna Seca will feature a new look before the season ends. Rosenqvist’s No. 60 Honda is set to sport a special Nickelback livery for the event, with the famous band also attending in person.

● At the Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C., two weeks ago, Texas A&M University served as the primary sponsor of Rosenqvist’s No. 60 Meyer Shank Racing Honda. The partnership built on Texas A&M’s relationship with Rosenqvist and Meyer Shank Racing at the historic Indianapolis 500, while connecting the university’s approaching 150th anniversary, America’s 250th milestone, and a public-purpose message centered on trust, service, leadership, and national impact.

By the Numbers

● Currently ninth in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES Championship Standings, Felix Rosenqvist has had a productive 2026 season, recording two NTT P1 awards (Long Beach and Portland), three podium finishes and a win at the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 24.

● There have been seven winners in the INDYCAR SERIES’ 17 races this season, including Rosenqvist and his exciting win at the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500.

● In his 17 starts this year, the seasoned veteran has completed 94.6% of the laps; a remarkable 2,330 of a possible 2,462. The speedy Swede has also led 166 laps during the 2026 season.

Firestone tire allotment: Five sets primary, five sets alternate to be used during the event weekend. Teams must use one set of primary and one new set of alternate tires unless wet conditions are declared.

Push to Pass parameters: 150 seconds of total time, with a maximum time of 15 seconds per activation.

Hybrid energy deployment parameters: Unlimited activation, with a maximum deployment of 350 kilojoules (kJ) per lap.

● 2026 is Rosenqvist’s eighth season of INDYCAR SERIES competition, and his third for Meyer Shank Racing.

Felix Rosenqvist, No. 60 SiriusXM Honda

After a successful three years with Meyer Shank Racing, Rosenqvist will move to Arrow McLaren beginning with the 2027 INDYCAR SERIES season. He will be met with the expected emotion in Laguna Seca.

“I love racing at Laguna Seca, and we have always been quick there in the past. This weekend will be emotional. I have massively enjoyed my time with MSR, and I really hope that we can end our tenure together with a fitting result. I will do all I can, as always, to make that happen.”

Rosenqvist offered a nod to Nickelback, whose livery adorns his car for the season finale, while paying tribute to his team.

“This year’s Laguna finale will be bittersweet as it is my last race with Meyer Shank Racing. It’s been an awesome three years, and I will always love this team and be grateful for all we accomplished. Never made it as a wise man. But I said I wanna be a rockstar, and we did that many times. Thank you, MSR.”
