Notes of Interest

● As the NASCAR Cup Series season continues to wind down, Haas Factory Team and Cole Custer will head west for this weekend’s race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Las Vegas is one of 16 intermediate tracks on the 2026 Cup schedule.

● Las Vegas Motor Speedway joined the NASCAR Cup Series schedule in 1998, with the inaugural race won by Mark Martin. The 1.5-mile tri-oval was reconfigured in 2007 with progressive 20-degree banking and is one of the Cup Series’ premier intermediate tracks.

● The track’s wide racing surface and multi-groove configuration allow drivers to find different lines, producing strategy-driven races where pit stops, fuel mileage, and tire wear regularly decide outcomes.

● At Daytona International Speedway in August, Cole Custer hustled to a top-10 finish in the No. 41 Standard Nuclear Chevrolet Camaro.

● Standard Nuclear experienced its own excitement away from the track over the summer, debuting on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “STDN”. With the support of public market investors, it is focused on scaling domestic TRISO fuel production and advancing the future of nuclear energy.

By the Numbers

● Custer will be making his 11th NASCAR Cup Series start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He has completed 95.8% of the laps and has led two times at the high-speed 1.5-mile tri-oval.

● In his 26 Cup starts this season, Custer has completed 7,770 of a possible 8,128 laps, resulting in an impressive 95.6% lap completion percentage.

● Custer has scored four top-5s, seven top-10s, 3 poles and led 147 laps in his 10 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series starts in Las Vegas.

● NASCAR Cup Series teams will run the same Goodyear Racing Eagles this weekend as they did during their March visit to Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The Cup Series tire setup has been used at a number of other intermediate tracks since the spring visit to Nevada, including last weekend at Kansas Speedway. Each team receives 11 sets of tires for the race weekend (eight new race sets, one qualifying set transferred to the race and two sets for practice).
