● After winning the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 in the closest finish in history, Felix Rosenqvist turned in a sixth-place finish last week at Detroit as an encore. His effort resulted in another jump in the INDYCAR SERIES Championship standings, where he now resides in the sixth position.
● Rosenqvist will be making his eighth INDYCAR SERIES start at WWT Raceway, which sits in the shadow of the St. Louis Arch.
● The 10th Annual Bommarito Automotive Group 500 will be the 18th INDYCAR SERIES race held at World Wide Technology Raceway. Paul Tracy won the inaugural INDYCAR SERIES race at WWTR in 1997.
● There have been five winners in the first eight NTT INDYCAR SERIES races this season. Alex Palou (Streets of St. Petersburg, Barber Motorsports Park, Streets of Long Beach and Streets of Detroit), Josef Newgarden (Phoenix Raceway), Kyle Kirkwood (Streets of Arlington), Christian Lundgaard (Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course) and Felix Rosenqvist (Indianapolis 500). ● The speedy Swede and new father has led 77 laps and turned in three top-10 finishes in the last four INDYCAR SERIES races. Felix also has three top-5 starts in the same time span.
● This weekend marks the third of six oval races on the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule, with Josef Newgarden winning at Phoenix in March and Rosenqvist winning the 110th Indianapolis 500 in May.
● Firestone tire allotment: Ten new sets for use during the event weekend. An extra set will be provided to teams participating in the high-line session before final practice.

You won the biggest race in the world and followed it up with a sixth-place finish at Detroit, and a jump in the Championship standings. Where is your focus entering the ninth race of the season?
“I’m excited for WWTR this weekend; we’re coming off some good momentum lately. I feel personally that I’m still looking for that breakthrough on short ovals. It’s the final box to tick and that’s why a good result in St. Louis would really mean a lot. If I can get these kinds of races to click, we can confidently say that we’re capable of being competitive everywhere. I’ve just had my first superspeedway win, so let’s see if we can keep rolling.”
