● Felix Rosenqvist earned the nickname ‘Papa FRO’ earlier this week, when his wife Emille gave birth to their first child, a baby girl named Stella.
● In the latest installment of Meyer Shank Racing’s and SiriusXM’s music collaborations, Felix Rosenqvist’s No. 60 SiriusXM Honda will debut a design featuring Morgan Wallen Radio (SiriusXM ch. 64). The special livery will carry through the month of May, including the Indianapolis 500.
● The Sonsio Grand Prix will be the 18th NTT INDYCAR SERIES event conducted on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. The race traditionally serves as the official lead-in to the Indianapolis 500, setting the stage for The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.
● Rosenqvist and Meyer Shank Racing enter the weekend with momentum on their side following an impressive showing at Long Beach, where Rosenqvist captured pole position and finished a strong second.
● Affectionately referred to as ‘Front Row FRO’, the speedy Swede has consistently shown speed on the IMS road course, earning three front-row starts, including poles in 2019 and 2022.
By the Numbers
● Rosenqvist is competing in his eighth season of INDYCAR competition, and his third for Meyer Shank Racing.
● Rosenqvist has established himself as one of INDYCAR’s premier qualifiers on road and street circuits, earning multiple pole positions and front-row starts at technical venues including the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course and Long Beach. He has been a consistent Fast Six qualifier on road and street circuits.
● Push-to-Pass Parameters: 200 seconds of total time with a maximum time of 20 seconds per activation. Push to Pass will be available and allowed for use at all times once the car passes the alternate start-finish line following the start and once the green flag has been displayed.
● Drivers receive unlimited hybrid energy deployment activation, with a maximum deployment of 425 kilojoules (kj) per lap.
● Firestone Tire Allotment: Each team receives five sets of primary tires (hard) and five sets of alternate tires (soft) to be used during the event weekend. Teams must use one set of primary and one set of new (sticker) alternate tires for at least two laps during the race.
