Notes of Interest

● NASCAR returns to Daytona International Speedway this weekend for its annual summer event and the final Cup Series race of the regular season before the Chase.

● The New Standard hits Daytona. A bold new look for one of NASCAR’s biggest stages. Cole Custer and the No. 41 Chevrolet are powered by Standard Nuclear as the primary partner at Daytona. Nuclear fuel meets NASCAR horsepower.

● Daytona marks the second race of the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season where Standard Nuclear will adorn the No. 41 Haas Factory Team entry as a primary sponsor, with the company serving as a hybrid primary sponsor at Indianapolis in July.

● In addition to the car, Standard Nuclear’s branding will be featured on Custer’s driver uniform, team shirts and hats, as well as on the team’s hauler and pit equipment, delivering consistent, high-visibility exposure.

● Standard Nuclear experienced its own excitement away from the track recently, debuting on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “STDN”. With the support of public market investors, they are focused on scaling domestic TRISO fuel production and advancing the future of nuclear energy.

By the Numbers

● Custer makes his 10th Cup Series start at Daytona this weekend, where he finished fourth after leading seven laps in last summer’s race.

● In the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, Custer has recorded two top-10 finishes in 10 Daytona starts. He also made one Craftsman Truck Series start at the track in 2016.

● In his 24 NASCAR Cup Series starts this season, Custer has completed 6,230 of a possible 6,581 laps, resulting in an impressive 94.7% lap completion percentage.

● NASCAR Cup Series teams will run the same Goodyear Racing Eagles in tonight’s race at Daytona International Speedway as they did in February’s Daytona 500. This tire setup was also raced at Talladega Superspeedway in April. The left-side tire has raced at Daytona since 2022; the right-side since last year’s Daytona 500. Each team receives seven sets of tires for the race (six new sets and a set transferred from qualifying).
