Veteran racer Casey Mears will make his long-awaited debut in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series when he takes the green flag at Martinsville Speedway on October 24, driving the No. 69 The Pit Stop Diecasts Ford F-150 for MBM Motorsports. The race will mark a major milestone for Mears — his 600th career NASCAR start across the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series.
Mears, who won the 2007 Coca-Cola 600 and has earned success across multiple disciplines of motorsport, now adds another chapter to his career by racing in the Truck Series. His debut with MBM Motorsports brings together a respected driver, a passionate team, and a fan-favorite sponsor dedicated to NASCAR’s diecast and collector community.
“It’s pretty special to come back to Martinsville for my 600th NASCAR start,” said Mears. “This sport has given me so many incredible experiences, and to make my Truck Series debut with MBM Motorsports and The Pit Stop Diecasts at such an iconic track is exciting. The Truck Series has always been on my list — it’s tough, exciting racing, and Martinsville is the perfect place to make it happen.”
The No. 69 The Pit Stop Diecasts Ford F-150 will feature a bold black-and-red livery celebrating Mears’ milestone start.
“Having a driver like Casey in our truck is a huge moment for MBM Motorsports,” said team owner Carl Long. “Reaching 600 NASCAR starts is something very few drivers ever accomplish, and we’re honored he chose to do it with us. The experience and professionalism that Casey brings mean a lot to our program, and race fans are going to love seeing that No. 69 The Pit Stop Diecasts Ford on the track.”
Mears joins an elite group of drivers to reach 600 career NASCAR starts — a testament to his longevity, skill, and dedication to the sport. From his early days in open-wheel racing to his time in the Cup Series, Mears has built a reputation as one of the most respected and adaptable drivers in NASCAR.
In addition to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race in Martinsville, The Pit Stop Diecasts will ride along as a major associate sponsor on the No. 66 Garage 66 Ford Mustang Dark Horse at the NASCAR Championship at Phoenix Raceway on Sunday, November 2. Garage 66 is the NASCAR Cup Series component of MBM Motorsports.
The Slim Jim 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Martinsville Speedway will air live on FS1, Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90, at 6 p.m. ET on Friday, October 24.
