With a dozen years of motorsport involvement to its credit, iconic wine producer Caymus Vineyards is proud to announce it has extended its partnership with NTT INDYCAR SERIES driver, Felix Rosenqvist. The family-owned and operated winery enters its fourth year with the speedy Swede, and the pairing has experienced considerable success.
Produced by Caymus founder Chuck Wagner, Bonanza Cabernet will appear on Rosenqvist’s helmet and social media channels. Rosenqvist first carried Caymus’s iconic branding in 2022, when the Napa-based winery partnered with him in the 106th Running of the Indianapolis 500. The longstanding relationship has yielded success in the form of elevated visibility and engagement among the auto racing fanbase.
This is the first year that the partnership will shift to Bonanza. This popular red wine was inspired by the “bonanza” of the great state of California, home to diverse vineyard land where delicious Cabernet can be produced.
“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Felix,” said Karen Perry, executive vice president of Caymus Vineyards. “And it’s exciting to showcase Bonanza, which is a perfect fit for INDYCAR fans – it’s a fun, accessible and delicious wine that can be enjoyed any day of the week. Bonanza is about the thrill of discovery, as the Wagners continually explore California – we see many parallels to the constant pursuit of excellence at the track. We look forward to cheering on Felix along with his amazing fan base.”
A connoisseur of speed, Rosenqvist will start Sunday’s 109th Running of the Indianapolis 500 from the fifth position, in the middle of row two. The masterful veteran posted the fastest time in Top-12 qualifying on Sunday, averaging 232.523-miles per hour and giving Bonanza Cabernet a wild ride around the Racing Capital of the World. Rosenqvist’s blistering pace afforded him passage to the Firestone Fast 6, where he landed fifth on the starting grid for the Greatest Spectacle in Racing.
“I’ve enjoyed the relationship with Caymus Vineyards, with the highlight being a visit to one of their vineyards in 2023,” Rosenqvist said. “It was inspiring to have an inside look at the care they invest in creating their various wines, including Bonanza. We’re aligned in our desire to be the very best and execute on a high level. I appreciate their continued support and am excited to feature their Bonanza Cabernet branding on my helmet this year.”
The partnership with Rosenqvist complements the portfolio of championship and iconic drivers with which Caymus Vineyards has partnered over the years. In the NASCAR Cup Series, the vineyard is partnered with Haas Factory Team and driver Cole Custer. Fan engagement and enthusiasm for their iconic offerings have resulted in successful partnerships in the sport.
