Spartanburg, SC (September 17, 2007) – Widely regarded as one of the NASCAR Busch Series’ up and coming programs, McGill Motorsports is preparing to wrap up their 4th full season of competition.

Since their inception in 2003, McGill Motorsports has seen the NASCAR Busch Series evolve in many different ways, and regardless of the many changes and the disappearance of most of the true, non-Nextel Cup affiliated Busch Series teams, they have continued to survive and make progress.  As the 2007 season concludes, they find themselves as one of the only stand-alone Busch Series teams ‘locked’ into the field each week, which guarantees them a starting spot regardless of qualifying times or adverse weather conditions.

As the season begins to wind down, McGill Motorsports has decided to make a change in the #36 Chevrolet, as they have parted ways with Brent Sherman in hopes of securing a driver that is accompanied by funding that will help the team gear up for the 2008 season.  Sherman’s last race in the #36 McGill Motorsports Chevrolet will be Kansas, leaving open the following five races for a driver that has reasonable sponsorship dollars: Charlotte, Memphis, Texas, Phoenix and Homestead.

As McGill Motorsports moves towards the 2008 season, they are exploring ways to heighten their program and make continued progress.  After working hard since 2003 to make themselves a viable program, McGill Motorsports has arrived at a point where it is now time to start doing it better.  Part of that process is to secure a sponsor, as well as a competitive driver, who possesses the ability to provide feedback to the team and allow the program to excel and provide desired results.

While McGill Motorsports is focusing on the remaining races in the 2007 NASCAR Busch Series season, they are also optimistically eyeing the possibilities for 2008 and beyond.
