Statement from Player Management International
Regarding Tragedy at Virginia Tech University
April 18, 2007
Player Management International would like to extend our deepest
condolences to everyone affected by the unfortunate series of
events at Virginia Tech University on April 16th. The Virginia
Tech family will remain in our thoughts and prayers and it is
our sincere hope that healing and recovery will begin quickly
and make Virginia Tech University an even stronger family and
institution.
Sports is our business, but right now we turn our attention,
thoughts and prayers to those families who have lost loved ones
in this senseless tragedy.
It is tough sometimes to make sense out of things that are senseless,
so the most appropriate thing at this point is to keep everyone
in your prayers and never lose sight of what is important in
life. Most of us will complain about wanting a new car
or getting a bad seat on a flight. Right now, people
are dealing with the loss of their children, sisters, brothers
or parents. Please keep them close to you in all you do
and pray that the pain they are feeling will be kept to a minimum
and that their hearts will not hurt too much.
On behalf of my wife, Teresa, and our children, JD, DJ and Lauren,
as well as the employees of PMI, I send you our thoughts and
never ending prayers, as well as love and hope.
‘Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified or
discouraged, for the Lord thy God is with you wherever you go.’ Joshua
