Big Lots! and Brent Sherman Telcel-Motorola 200 Preview

Player Management International Release

Spartanburg, SC (February 27, 2007)  Brent Sherman and the McGill Motorsports team will be taking their No. 36 Big Lots! Chevrolet South of the border to Mexico City, Mexico for Sunday’s running of the Telcel-Motorola 200.  This marks the third time that the No. 36 McGill Motorsports team has entered the event and the second time for Sherman.

“I am looking forward to going back to Mexico City.  I qualified 22nd in the inaugural race back in 2005, and I feel like this time around we can do even better.”  Sherman continued, “There are going to be a lot of road course specialists driving in the race, but I think that if we can be patient and keep the car intact, we can have a real solid finish.”

Ricky Pearson, Sherman’s crew chief states, “We are bringing the same car that we used at Watkins Glen last August where Max Pappis finished 14th.  Max really helped us with the setup of the car on the road course, and I think we will be able to transfer a lot of that information to the Mexico City race.  We’re looking forward to a good weekend.”

The # 36 Big Lots! Chevrolet hits the 2.518 mile Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez road course on Friday, March 2nd at 2:00 PM (ET) for the weekends first practice session, while qualifying begins at 11:30 AM (ET) on Saturday, March 3rd.

Television coverage for the Telcel-Motorola 200 begins at 1:30 PM (ET) Sunday, March 4th on ESPN2, with the green flag scheduled to drop at 2:00 PM (ET).  Live radio coverage can be heard on MRN, The Motor Racing Network.
