Spartanburg, SC (February 21, 2007)  Brent Sherman and the McGill Motorsports team are looking forward to a strong run at the California Speedway.

 

“I am looking forward to getting on the track for our first practice session to see how well our testing at Las Vegas will benefit us for this weekend.  We tried a few things while testing that I hope will benefit us.”  Sherman said.  “We have a lot of intermediate tracks on the schedule and I think this weekend will be important to see where we stack up with the other teams.”  Sherman continued, “We will use the practice sessions to get the setup close to where I like it and then we will have to buckle down and hope to have a strong finish on Saturday.” 

 

Crew chief, Ricky Pearson is hopeful on the weekend.  “We are bringing the same car that ran well for us here last year.  We were able to use the Las Vegas test to fine tune a couple things and I think we will be ready for the race.”  Pearson said.  “I am real excited about this weekend, and I think we will have good results.” 

 

The # 36 Big Lots! Chevrolet hits the 2-mile D-shaped oval on Friday, February 23rd at 11:00 AM (ET) for the weekends first practice session, while qualifying begins at 3:10 PM (ET) on Saturday. 

 

Television coverage for the Stater Bros. 300 begins at 7:00 PM (ET) February 24th on ESPN2, with the green flag scheduled to drop at 7:30 PM (ET).  Live radio coverage can be heard on MRN, The Motor Racing Network.
