The road to Daytona will be a tough battle in 2007 for GEICO's sponsored NASCAR driver Mike Wallace. But there's good news for the man who won a Busch Series race at Daytona while sponsored by GEICO in 2004. He knows that GEICO and its associates fully support his return to the GEICO family.

From Oct. 24 to Dec. 7, Wallace visited nine regional offices, where he met with associates, signed autographs, sold merchandise, answered questions and showed off the new eye-catching Gecko car.

"It was nice for the associates to see Mike before the 2007 season started," said Christy Phillips, tactical marketing coordinator. "The tour was a great way for our associates to learn more about the sponsorship. Everyone is really excited about this upcoming season."

Wallace and GEICO announced their sponsorship deal in October. He will be the company's official NASCAR driver for the next three years.

"Mike is very down-to-earth, and he likes interacting and talking with our associates," said Rebecca Foss, advertising and promotions coordinator. "Wallace enjoys driving for GEICO and wants every associate to know that he is honored to represent the company again."
